ANACON SYSTEMS INTRODUCES
COMFORT+™ MOTOR CONTROLLERS

Units Provide Quick And Easy Installation Into HVAC Blower And Fan Applications In Light Commercial & Residential Markets

Mountain View, California  May 26, 1999  Anacon Systems has announced the availability of its Comfort+ C1300  motor controllers, which control the speed of one-half horsepower or less single phase induction motors used in fans and blowers for central heating and air conditioning systems.  The ETL approved and UL compliant Comfort+ C1300 system offers easy and quick installation and provides a major performance upgrade to the customers' existing system at a fraction of the price of a new system. Small (6 x 6 x 2.8 inches) and lightweight (3.5 pounds), it is offered with a NEMA1 enclosure which conveniently mounts into existing blower housings.  The addition of the low-cost Comfort+  C1300 will result in enhanced energy efficiency, quieter operation, improved comfort for the customer and extended life to the system.

This highly integrated solution, which interfaces seamlessly with any thermostat control or other fan control system, uses Anacon Systems' proprietary microcontroller and software algorithms and includes analog, digital, and power electronics.  The C1300 operates from a 115v, 60 Hz input and provides a 0-65Hz controlled output at 8 amperes (max). Also available is the C2400 ½ HP motor drive which operates from a 230v, 60 Hz input and supplies 0-65 Hz output at 5 amperes (max).  These units are easy to install with only four wires and a grounding provision required for hookup. Complete documentation and a simple wiring diagram is included. This reduces time-consuming and costly installation procedures while eliminating installation mistakes, all resulting in lower installation cost.  The two diagnostic indicator lights provide fault detection and operating status.  Three convenient external adjustments allow the installer to set idle (or destratification) speed along with fine tuning of the high speed and low speed cycles of the distribution blower.
